Competition Overview

The STEM4Health challenge invites students, professionals, and STEM enthusiasts to collaborate and think critically about how science and technology can pave the way for a healther future.

This year’s competition is STEM4Health, which means all the projects will revolve around the basic idea of health. Teams can have up to 4-10 students with at least one student identifying as female. Experts will review the project proposal and select up to 5 outstanding projects, from each category, which will later be funded into complete the research. STEM4Health Launches

STEM4Health officially kicks off! Learn about this year's challenge and start forming your team.

Submissions Open

Project proposal submissions begin. Teams can start submitting their proposals through the competition portal.

January 15 2027

Submission Deadline

All project proposals must be submitted by this date. Late submissions will not be accepted.

February 26 2027

Review Process Complete

Expert judges will finish reviewing all submitted proposals and finalists will be notified by end of February.

March 19 2027

Presentation Submission Deadline

Finalists must submit their final presentations by this date ahead of Presentation Day.

April 10 2027

Presentation Day

Finalists present their projects to judges and the broader STEM4Health community.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we participate if we don't have a full team yet?

Yes! You can register and find team members through our community. Just ensure you have 4-10 members with at least one female by the submission deadline.

What if our project doesn't fit neatly into one category?

That's perfectly fine! Many innovative projects are interdisciplinary. Choose the category that best represents your primary focus.

Do we need to have started our project to apply?

No! You just need a well-developed proposal with your hypothesis, methodology, and expected outcomes.

Can we submit multiple projects?

A team can submit one project per registration. However, individuals can be part of multiple teams.

What happens if we win?

Winners receive a $250 research grant, expert mentorship, and certificate of achievement.

Is there a registration fee?

No! Participation in STEM4Health is completely free for all students.
